Born from a memory of a perfect, sun-drenched day during an internship in Santa Monica. My now-wife, Lindsey, and I borrowed a friend’s car, turned up the music, and took off up the Pacific Coast Highway toward Santa Barbara.
Reimagined through my signature early-1960s aesthetic, this painting captures the timeless style, class, and absolute freedom of that drive. With the windows down, the salty breeze in the air, and the golden California cliffs framing the glittering ocean, it’s a tribute to youth, love, and the open road.
